May 17: Free listening party at AOL Spinner this week! This week you can listen to our record for free streaming at AOL Spinner! May 11: Pop Cycle is released digitally today! Today Pop Cycle has been pre-released in the digital format! Go to iTunes or Emusic to get it! In weeks time it will be available in plastic at a store near you... April 21: New songs added on our myspace page! Now you can hear our songs Another Day, and It Will Never Slip on our MySpace page! Spread the word... We need the song count on the new songs to catch up with the old songs! =) April 20: Another Day video! Here is the video for Another Day, the first single of POP CYCLE! We recorded it ourselves during two weeks in February. It's the first video any of us have ever made, so we're pretty proud... Thanks to Samuel, Andreas, Sofie, Frida, Benjamin and Errol who helped us alot! Mar 19: POP CYCLE preview video! Here it is! Feb 22: Pop Cycle. September 11: LA... Hello everyone. We're currently in LA playing some shows, meeting some people and preparing a tour. We performed at KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic and you can watch that on video on our MySpace! See you on tour in the US this fall (TBA). August 21: More Gigs! We've been booked as the supporting act for Adam Green of Moldy Peaches on his Swedish dates! Malmö 31/8 and Sthlm 2/9. See you there. Our video was also featured on the front page of myspace-sweden today. August 5: Music video! You can watch our brand new music video for Make Up Artist on myspace! Thanks Johan Holmberg (filming) and CJ Meston (editing) for doing a great job! August 3: Update... The release for "Spark Large" is on Tuesday the 5th of August. Pre-order it now on Insound.com. This week we've debuted on the CMJ radio charts at 68 with more than 40 stations now charting spins. We're also excited about our inclusion in Sony Picture Film "Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist" starring Michael Cera (Juno, Superbad). Our original composition "Trust Your Stomach" will be featured on the soundtrack alongside Vampire Weekend, Band Of Horses, Modest Mouse, The National, Mark Mothersbaugh and more. It hits theaters on October 3rd. July 30: Popaganda Gig! We're confirmed at the Popaganda Festival the 30th of August. Other acts include Shout Out Louds, Sebastian Tellier, Bob Hund etc. They say that we summarize two decades of Swedish indie. July 15: Itunes Pre-release! Our first full length on U&L Records has been pre-released on Itunes today! Go buy it! Includes three B-sides. We are also featured on the US-store. See it for your self or click here. June 26: Othermusic EP. Our online EP has been released on digital.othermusic.com! Only 4.99 USD! Five great songs, including two B-sides that will not be on the Spark Large LP. So, our new song Gorgeous Behavior was played on KCRW's show Morning Becomes Ecclectic today. That is exciting! We finished our upcoming record this Friday. It is produced by Adam Lasus. The summer was spent writing and demoing new songs for our upcoming album, which will be recorded and released properly sometime next year. We are very excited. More details to come. (Ps. Jerry Seinfeld thought "Feel good about it" was too "indie" for his new film, though he liked it. Ds.) March 15: We've got ourselves a publisher. Urband & Lazar is now our publisher in the US. Here you can read a nice interview with us in the Mail and Guardian newspaper from South Africa. It says something about how well we were recieved by the South Africans... March 6: 3 Video diaries from South Africa. Now you can watch 3 video diaries at our Myspace site, or in the pictures section of this site. We're all safe and sound. 16 February: Video diary from South Africa. Now you can watch a video diary at our Myspace site! It has exotic animals, mystic boers and napoleon dynamite lookalikes in it. 30 January: Three new dates in Sweden. We're warming up for our SA tour with two gigs in Linköping. One this Friday (2nd) at Klubb Atmosfär and one next Saturday (10th) on Feber-festivalen at Elsas Hus. If you wanna see the set we're gonna do in SA, please come, and give us feedback... Also, we've got a gig planned at festival Skapa in Malmö 24th of March. But that's far away. First we all go to see Arcade Fire at Cirkus! 21 January: South African tour. Crazy as it may sound, but Marching Band is going on tour to South Africa! Our friends in Harris Tweed have invited us to join them on a three weeks trip. We're playing in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and some other places in the area. It's goona be hot, nervous but exciting! We've also started wrking on our fourth album, and if you want to hear some new stuff, come to Elsas Hus, Linköping, the 10th of Feb, because then we will have our dress rehearsal before the tour. See you in Africa! 20 November: Online EP release. Today www.lostmusic.co.uk released a free downloadable EP with four of our songs. One of them is "Boys on Bikes" that hasn't been availiable online before and the other one is a brand new ambient remix of "Home Alone VI" by Oplen. Spread the word! 3 October: Gig. Hi. Don't miss our gig in Stockholm this Friday. It's at Andreaskyrkan on Högbergsgatan 31 at 19.00. The great band Avion Blue wil be supporting us. 25 September: Lost Music. In a short time we will publish an online EP at lostmusic.co.uk which features an ambient remix of Home Alone IX by Oplen, who's a good friend (and relative) of ours. The song Boys on Bikes (Dead Line) is also included, and it's all for free! The EP also includes some nice artwork by Erik. Please spread the word! We also want to thank everyone who came to listen to us on our tour in the south. (Thanks Stoffe and Rebecka for the nice breakfasts!) For everyone who missed it we've added some pictures from the tour. Soon there will also be some live clips from the gig in Malmö. 17 August: The Pet Series. Finally we've recieved the Pet Series CDs! You can order them from us at a cheaper price than in stores. They cost 80 SEK (15 USD shipping included). Listen to a one minute clip of the exclusive track "Vote" in the music section. Also, we got a really nice review at dagensskiva.com, 8 out of 10. 27 June: Summer. Groove has finally reached the stores, and we got 5 out of 5 in local newspaper Corren. The headline for the article is "On their way to success", a prophecy we hope they get right... Right now the band is spread out on different locations, though we're working on a cover version of a song from a childrens vinyl record Erik found back home. It might be released online sometime in the not too distant future. We'll see. 24 May: Groove. We're gonna be on the next Groove-CD that comes with the newspaper to all subscribers. It will be possible to buy the magazine with the CD in selected Pressbyrån stores. We've also added som info about our records in the music section. 15 May: Reviews. You can read some new reviews in the About section (only in Swedish though). 12 May: New gig. 27 May we will play in the castle cafe at Bjärka Säby. Don'tforget our gig in örebro tomorrow (sat) 21.00 at Cafe Deed. 5 May: Marching band in the media. Marching band can be heard on Swedish radio P3 Lab Sat 13/5 20.00. The song "Letters" will be played. Also, this week you can read about us in the new edition of Trots Allt, a Swedish culture magazine. 12 April: New gigs added örebro 13/5 and Frizon festival 10/8. |
