The name of our new album is Pop Cycle. It will be released late this spring. It's great.
Dec 8: Groove review.
One of the leading Swedish music magazines, Groove, gave us a 4/5 review saying "their songs stand out as some of the most beautiful tunes you can listen to today".
Dec 8: Scrubs and iTunes.
Hello! On Tuesday the 15th of December we'll have a song in the new scrubs episode. watch out for it if your in the US. it's a weird feeling considering all the early afternoons one's been spending watching reruns of the show...
And if you're in the US you should also check out iTunes that same week as Spark Large will be featured on the front page. hopefully that will lead to some new friends of us.
But maybe most exciting; we finished mixing the first song of the new album! it sounded so good too our record label boss that he started weeping. =) let's hope he keeps doing that during the next week when we finish the rest of the songs.
Oct 30: Swedish release, P3 and Jari Haapalainen.
Spark Large was released in Sweden on October 26 and you swedes can get it at CDON or Kulturbutiken.
Finally we'll be getting some play on swedish radio station P3 in november as we're band of the month at P3-lab, and will be on rotation on their E-list. Fun!
And even more exciting: We're recording our second record this winter with producer Jari Haapalainen (Camera Obscura, Ed Harcourt, The Concretes, Frida Hyvönen, Bear Quartet, Nicolai Dunger etc. etc). We hope you're as excited as we are about the next record!
Sept 28: Spotify! Zombieland! New record!
We're glad to announce that you can listen to Spark Large on Spotify. That's good news for everyone in England and Sweden for example, who can hear the full record online from now on.
Also we're happy to reveal that we have a song in the upcoming blockbuster Zombieland that hits theaters in October. Metallica, Lou Reed, Jack White and Paul Anka are some other more or less well known artist on the soundtrack.
And finally, for everyone who's wondering what we're up to and why the hell we haven't posted any news or blogs for the last couple of months: we're hitting the studio to record our next record this autum/winter, to be released next spring. Right now we've sent 31 songs to our producer to concider. It needs to boil down to around 10. Hopefully some of them are pretty good.

So we have a gig on friday in Stockholm! Everyone's invited to the premiere night of Trädgården. It's a popular club so be there in time...

May 18: Back from touring...
So we came back from touring northern Europe a while ago, and it was a great experience for us. Thanks to everyone who showed up! We felt your support from Oslo in the north to Leipzig in the south. We will be back soon. Hopefully at the end of the summer! Check out MySpace for some pictures and more blogs.

We're most excited to announce our Scandinavia tour where we're supporting our friend Loney Dear. Our friends and families will come, will you?
Mar 2: Germany, Holland and Austria tour.
We're confirmed for a tour in Germany, Holland and Austria with Wildbirds and Peacedrums and Hjaltalin. Our great german label Haldern Pop is promoting their festival, and we're providing the show... Also, we put up some new pictures for you to rest your eyes on.
Feb 12: Japan release is going well.

Feb 3: EP coming... SXSW and gigs in northern Sweden!
Hello. We're currently working on a new EP to be released in the US this spring. It has some new songs and some reworked songs from our older records. Stay put and we'll get you more info shortly...
Also, on Friday we're playing in Borlänge and on Saturday in Sundsvall. Please come. The people in Sundsvall really likes us, so we want to give them a good crowd! And for those who can't come to Sundsvall, go to SXSW, we're coming! That's really exciting!

Things are moving a little bit... We're playing in London Jan 8th at the The Luminaire with the Clientele... And a gig in Stockholm as well at Fritz Corner/Debaser Slussen, Sthlm with Jonathan Johansson. We're very excited!

We're confirmed for the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in Groningen Jan 15. Exciting!

Our song Gorgeous Behavior opened up the 9th episode of How I Met Your Mother. It actually fit quite well with the scene. Watch it here if your in the US.
October 24: CMJ and Spaceland residency
Tomorrow were playing the CMJ festival in NY. Fat Baby 9pm. And in November we're playing every monday, starting the 3rd, at Spaceland at 10 pm, and it's free! Come every time.

August 3: Update...
The release for "Spark Large" is on Tuesday the 5th of August. Pre-order it now on Insound.com. This week we've debuted on the CMJ radio charts at 68 with more than 40 stations now charting spins.
We're also excited about our inclusion in Sony Picture Film "Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist" starring Michael Cera (Juno, Superbad). Our original composition "Trust Your Stomach" will be featured on the soundtrack alongside Vampire Weekend, Band Of Horses, Modest Mouse, The National, Mark Mothersbaugh and more. It hits theaters on October 3rd.
July 30: Popaganda Gig!
We're confirmed at the Popaganda Festival the 30th of August. Other acts include Shout Out Louds, Sebastian Tellier, Bob Hund etc. They say that we summarize two decades of Swedish indie.
July 15: Itunes Pre-release!

The summer was spent writing and demoing new songs for our upcoming album, which will be recorded and released properly sometime next year. We are very excited. More details to come.

30 January: Three new dates in Sweden.
We're warming up for our SA tour with two gigs in Linköping. One this Friday (2nd) at Klubb Atmosfär and one next Saturday (10th) on Feber-festivalen at Elsas Hus. If you wanna see the set we're gonna do in SA, please come, and give us feedback... Also, we've got a gig planned at festival Skapa in Malmö 24th of March. But that's far away. First we all go to see Arcade Fire at Cirkus!
21 January: South African tour.
Crazy as it may sound, but Marching Band is going on tour to South Africa!
Our friends in Harris Tweed have invited us to join them on a three weeks trip. We're playing in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and some other places in the area. It's goona be hot, nervous but exciting! We've also started wrking on our fourth album, and if you want to hear some new stuff, come to Elsas Hus, Linköping, the 10th of Feb, because then we will have our dress rehearsal before the tour. See you in Africa!
20 November: Online EP release.
Today www.lostmusic.co.uk released a free downloadable EP with four of our songs. One of them is "Boys on Bikes" that hasn't been availiable online before and the other one is a brand new ambient remix of "Home Alone VI" by Oplen. Spread the word!
3 October: Gig.
Hi. Don't miss our gig in Stockholm this Friday. It's at Andreaskyrkan on Högbergsgatan 31 at 19.00. The great band Avion Blue wil be supporting us.
25 September: Lost Music.
In a short time we will publish an online EP at lostmusic.co.uk which features an ambient remix of Home Alone IX by Oplen, who's a good friend (and relative) of ours. The song Boys on Bikes (Dead Line) is also included, and it's all for free! The EP also includes some nice artwork by Erik. Please spread the word!
We also want to thank everyone who came to listen to us on our tour in the south. (Thanks Stoffe and Rebecka for the nice breakfasts!) For everyone who missed it we've added some pictures from the tour. Soon there will also be some live clips from the gig in Malmö.
17 August: The Pet Series.
Finally we've recieved the Pet Series CDs! You can order them from us at a cheaper price than in stores. They cost 80 SEK (15 USD shipping included). Listen to a one minute clip of the exclusive track "Vote" in the music section.

27 June: Summer.
Groove has finally reached the stores, and we got 5 out of 5 in local newspaper Corren. The headline for the article is "On their way to success", a prophecy we hope they get right... Right now the band is spread out on different locations, though we're working on a cover version of a song from a childrens vinyl record Erik found back home. It might be released online sometime in the not too distant future. We'll see.
24 May: Groove.
We're gonna be on the next Groove-CD that comes with the newspaper to all subscribers. It will be possible to buy the magazine with the CD in selected Pressbyrån stores.
